(Rocky Mountain Whitefish)

I was fishing last week when I had some spare time and took a fly rod up on the Logan River using a sinking line a streamer and trailed behind it a worm.  I dead drifted (almost Czech Nymphed) the streamer through a deep fishing hole.  It was interesting when I caught my fish fish, I thought it would have had to be a trout with my setup I had on but what I caught I wouldn’t have imagined happening.  A Rocky Mountain Whitefish had taken the streamer(an actual take).  The reason this is so crazy is because Whitefish are Bottom feeders.  I know on the Provo River and the Weber River I have caught a lot of Whitefish too, but never, and let me stress…NEVER, on a streamer.
